Michael has over seven years of professional experience in the graphics and media fields.  His work spans mediums, including work in 3D modeling, graphic design, web design and independent film.  In addition, Michael has worked in various mediums of drawing, and painting, as well as photography.  Much of his current work has focused in 3D modeling, and film production. 

Currently, Michael is working with Synology America, a company that manufactures network storage devices, as a Product Specialist and Technical Support Rep.  Additionally, Michael is a Producer at Engitype, a company that specializes 3D printing, 3D Animation, and marketing collateral. Michael’s other professional work includes working as a Media Specialist at Andrews Space, an aerospace company, and as the client services manager at FaithNetwork, a website production and management company. 

During Michael’s time at Andrews Space he worked with a small team to produce all of the company’s art and marketing materials.  Additionally, the team did work for outside clients like Lockheed Martin, NASA, Rocketplane Kistler, and Microsat Systems.  Some of the artwork created by this team was featured on the covers of Space News and Aviation-Week. 

After leaving Andrews, Michael did independent contracting; including working with FuturePast Productions to create several websites for businesses, and a political campaign, as well as marketing collateral including business cards, posters, brochures, and content for websites. Also during this time, Michael worked with MediaSpigot Publishing creating content for Driving Sports TV and working on set during live webcasts.  Some of the segments Michael produced received national recognition from automotive blogs such as Autoblog, and Jalopnik.

Michael attended the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2006.  In college, Michael studied many forms of media including roto-scoping, 2D drawn animation, 3D animation, theater and film.  Sophomore year he created a four minute movie trailer style animation called “Way of Empire:” A Study of Orwellian Totalitarianism from a 3rd Person Scholar. This film made it into two film festivals in Los Angeles.   Michael also produced a 25 minute short film, “Living the Weekends,” his senior year.  During this project, Michael assembled and coordinated the actors, crew, and equipment, as well securing the rights to film in many diverse locations, including a Metro bus, two parks, an office, a restaurant, a car, and house all free of charge. 

Shortly thereafter, Michael was brought on to produce a music video for the band “1090 Club” that received airplay on MTV2. He also regularly competed in local film production contests as well as working with local studios on their projects.

In his free time, Michael enjoys Jujitsu, working on cars and motorcycles, auto-crossing, and motorcycle riding with his wife.  A major music and film buff, he appreciates art in all of its forms, and is always looking for the next great adventure.
